2013年日本當代音樂大師坂本龍一與全編制管弦樂團合作，引起廣大迴響。2014年，他再度與東京愛樂交響樂團合作，這一次，他除了親自彈奏鋼琴並擔任樂團指揮，重新演繹黃色魔術交響樂團（Yellow Magic Orchestra，YMO）的經典曲目，以及他為【俘虜】、【末代皇帝】等電影所譜寫的著名配樂。
