簡南峻年過四十，與妻子敏敏、兩個孩子及年邁的岳母同住在台北的一間公寓裡。敏敏弟弟的婚禮當天，一連串足以改變命運的事件接踵而至，岳母突然中風、命懸一線，而南峻也意外與久未聯絡的初戀情人阿瑞重逢，心中泛起久違漣漪。南峻飛往東京洽談合作計畫，並在異地與阿瑞再度相見，家庭自此捲入一連串難以預料的動盪。
